Sangai Fest stalls for disabled persons on the cards: K Radhakumar

The three-day Disabled Mela under the theme 'Sustainable Development: The Promise of Technology' organized by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons at Tera Bazar, Imphal West concluded today with K Radhakumar, DC Imphal West and Ch Opendro, former president of Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons attending as chief guest and president respectively.
Speaking at the valedictory function, K Radhakumar said that efforts would be made to ensure that several stalls in Sangai Festival are reserved for disabled persons from next year.
He exhorted differently abled persons to find out various schemes provided by departments meant for their welfare and approach him to avail such schemes.

Noting that sustainable development should ensure persistent assistance to the people, he asserted that collective growth in the State would come only after concerted effort is put in from every section. To mark the occasion, a music album titled 'Chingburoi Tammuroi' sung by N Mangijao was released.
Today's function was also attended by Th Sumanta, Member of Patsoi Zilla Parishad; Ch Bijenti, Member of Yurembam Zilla Parishad; A Manimala, Member of Takyel Zilla Parishad; A Bishorjit, Pradhan of Sapam Leikai Gram Panchayat; Kh Sanaton, Pradhan of Mayanglangjing Gram Panchayat; M Somola, Pradhan of Lamjaotong Gram Panchayat and Th Mangi, president of Ideal Club, Tera Bazar as guests of honor.
