Governor hands out Rajya Puruskar Awards

Imphal, April 08 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla graced the 11th Governor Rally (Rajya Puruskar Award Distribution Ceremony) held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal today.

The event was organized by Manipur State Bharat Scouts & Guides.

On the occasion, Governor Bhalla handed out 30 Rajya Puruskar Awards to the Scouts in recognition of their outstanding dedication and achievements.

Speaking at the event, Governor Bhalla highlighted the exceptional commitment, resilience and spirit of selfless services of the scouts.

He also emphasized the movement of the Scouts which has played a quiet but profound role.

From participating in environmental campaigns, promoting literacy, assisting in natural calamities, to spreading messages of peace and harmony.

Scouts and Guides have always stepped forward with courage and commitment, he added.

He encouraged the young Scouts to uphold strong moral values, embrace social responsibility, and cultivate mental resilience.

He emphasized the significance of the inner net - a network of values, human emotions, and responsibilities - amid the growing distractions of the digital age.

Additionally, he highlighted the crucial role of young Scouts in contributing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.Uripok AC MLA Kh Raghumani Singh; Lt General (retd) K Himalaya Singh and Rajiv Singh, Director General of Police, Manipur, among others attended the event.
