Tengnoupal police conduct drive to reduce traffic snarls

Tengnoupal, March 27 2019:
In view of the constant traffic jam occurring on the road leading to Indo-Myanmar Friendship gate no 2 which has caused immense grievances to the locals as well as the travelers, necessary steps were taken up to prevent traffic jam in the said area.
A team of Tengnoupal police including SP Th Vikramjit, Moreh police ASP Kh Robinson, DSP CDO Th Thomas and other officers took the initiative to make a parking space on only one side of the road and cleared the street vendors along the said road as well.
Meanwhile, security personnel were deployed in the area to overview the initiative taken today.
Speaking to media persons, SP Th Vikramjit Singh said that vehicles parked on both sides of the road near Indo-Myanmar Friendship gate no 2 often leads to traffic jam and eventually cause grievances to the passers-by.
He appealed all to cooperate the steps taken up by the police as it is for the welfare of the people.
