Relief items distributed in Moirang AC containment zones

Moirang, August 26 2020: The Moirang Assembly Constituency (AC) MLA P Sharatchandra Singh, with the help of the Moirang Kendra, Sunusiphai and Tronglaobi COVID-19 Taskforce Committee volunteers, distributed relief materials to households of Sunusiphai Awang Ward No 5 and Tronglaobi Ward No 6 of the AC which are declared containment zones.

The items were distributed to around 90 households of Phubala GP, Sunusiphai Ward No 5 and around 45 households of Tronglaobi GP, Tronglaobi Ward No 6.The relief items comprised of 12 bags of rice, 3 bags of daal, 4 bags of salt, edible oil, detergent powder, body soaps, face masks, gloves and sanitizers.

Moirang AC MLA P Sharatchandra Singh, Phubala GP Ward No 5 member N Ramsing Meitei, members of Moirang Kendra COVID-19 Taskforce Committee, staff of Moirang MLA office and volunteers of the two localities took part in the distribution programme.

Speaking during the programme, MLA P Sharatchandra stressed on the importance of following all measures issued by WHO and Health Ministry/Departments to prevent the spread of the virus since the only way to protect oneself is to take extreme precautions.

Pointing out the current scenario of Moirang AC, he said that today's distribution programme was to extend help to the disadvantaged families in home quarantine and in containment zone.

While assuring that he will continue to help the people in of his AC, he appealed to all to strictly follow all guidelines issued by the Government and Health Department.
