IRCS-IE continues awareness campaign

Imphal, September 07 2020:
Imphal East District unit of the Indian Red Cross Society continued to raise awareness campaign on COVID-19 by conducting the same at Tamaram village under Angtha Gram Panchayat today.
Dr RK Nimai, Secretary IRCS; Th Manihal and Akhi Jajo attended the event as presidium members.
Chairman of IRCS Imphal East District, Narendra Ningomba, also attended the event and urged all to combat the disease with the help of WHO guidelines.
Pinning hope that humanity can surely defeat the disease, the speakers and health experts said that the only means to defeat the disease is to follow safety guidelines including use of masks, regular sanitation and hygienic activities and physical distancing.
They also demonstrated how to use masks properly and right ways to sanitize and clean.
A Similar programme was also conducted at Tangkham Ahanjao lampak under the aegis of USMC and Pole Star Club Tangkham.
Peoples' Task Force for COVID-19 (PTFC-19) in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Maniour State Branch; Indian Medical Association and Association for Health Care Providers of India, also continued to organise awareness programmes.
Maibam Chingmang Leikai COVID-19 Task Force today to sensitize people of the locality about the COVID-19 pandemic at Maibam Chingmang Leikai community hall.
Maibam Chingning Makha Leikai COVID-19 Task Force, Ideal Pioneers Organisation Kakching Ningthou Leikai also conducted similar awareness drives at their respective localities.
