The number of COVID-19 positive people who were declared free of the virus during the last 24 hours exceeded fresh cases during the same period.
As a result, the recovery rate has reached 75.40 per cent.
The recovery rate at the all India level is on the other hand 77.31 per cent.
On the other hand, a top-ranking official of Health Department opined that the COVID-19 virus has been mutating and growing stronger in the State.

He pointed out that the State's second positive case from Lilong was already suffering from several co-morbid health conditions but none of his family members nor the hospital staff who were directly engaged in his treatment were infected by the virus.
Significantly he too recovered.
Likewise none of the family members of the first positive case in Manipur were infected.
At that time, neither better medical equipment nor effective medicine were available in the State, said the Health official.
However, the virus has been spreading faster and wider these days when better equipment and more effective medicines are available.
It seems the virus has mutated and is growing stronger.
Although there are COVID-19 testing facilities in the State, there is no laboratory in the State where the virus strand can be studied and identified, said the official.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 194 COVID-19 patients were discharged during the last 24 hours after they were found free of the virus.
They were discharged from CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (31), Senapati (1), Jiribam (16), Kangpokpi (2), UNACCO (64), Noney (1), Thoubal (28), Kangpokpi (3), Chandel (4), Kakching (12) and CAPF (32) .
On the other hand, 84 people including 20 personnel of CAPF were tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours at JNIMS, Thoubal, Kangpokpi, Shija Hospital, Imphal West RAT, Imphal East, Senapati, Advance Hospital, Jiribam, CMC, RIMS, Bishnupur, Kakching, Samaritan Hospital, Babina Diagnostic Centre, Raj Medicity and Churachandpur.
The 64 civilians belong to Imphal West (14), Imphal East (16), Kangpokpi (2), Churachandpur (5), Chandel (3), Noney (1), Thoubal (8), Jiribam (7), Kakching (1) and Bishnupur (7).Out of them, 51 have no history of travelling outside the State.
The total COVID-19 positive cases has risen to 7106 (general public 5396, Central security personnel 1711) .
The total figure includes 1710 active cases (general public 1184, Central security personnel 526) and 5358 discharged cases (general public 4175, Central security personnel 1183).A late report informed that 55 fresh positive cases were detected in Imphal West district today.
Out of them, four are CRPF personnel while nine are residents of Singjamei Chingamathak.
Three other people who have been staying at the quarters of MLA K Ranjit are among the fresh positive cases.
Further, 10 people were found infected by the virus after rapid antigen test at Thoubal and five others at Jiribam.
Moreover, 24 samples were tested positive for the virus at JNIMS.
Till date the virus has claimed 38 lives.
