Training on food processing begins

A 7-days Food Processing Training Programme organised by Self Employed Workers' Council, Imphal began at Epa Thoukok Institute of Art & Culture Hall in Lamphelpat on Wednesday.
About 50 trainees are taking part in the training programme which will focus on making pickles, canned fish, juice, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Self Employed Workers' Council chairman Pukhrambam Suresh said that the programme was conducted with the aim to provide skill training to unemployed youths and help improve their socio-economic condition.
"It is the second training programme conducted by the Council", said Suresh while adding that the Council has produced many young entrepreneurs by providing skill training to youths.
P Ibochouba Singh, former Member of NKVIB, Government of India, Ministry of MSME and Ch Muhindro Singh, chief functionary of Self Employed workers' Council also shared their insight on various topics during the programme.
