Digital Edn Prog launched at Azad Higher Secondary School

A Digital Education Programme kick started today at Azad Higher Secondary School, Yairipok Tulihal, Imphal East District jointly organized by MALEM Sustainable Enterprise Manipur and SELCO Foundation Bangalore.
Professor Dr Keisham Shitaljit Singh, Department of Education, Manipur University attended the inaugural programme as Chief guest, Principal Mutum Jadumani Singh of Azad Higher Secondary School as functional President while Md Mujibur, Department of Education (U), Manipur Government, Secretary Kshetrimayum Chaoba Singh of Grace Cottage Academy Kakching, Founder member Moulana Wahidur Rahaman of Pinnacle Academy Lilong, Senior program manager (education) Prashant Sharma of SELCO Foundation Bangalore and Initiator Md Iquebal Ahamed, MALEM sustainable enterprise Manipur attended the function as guest of honors respectively.
While speaking as Chief Guest, Dr K Shitaljit said that growth and development in the society can be achieved only through education while adding that time has come to impart knowledge to the current crop students with the help of latest technology in parallel to the current trend that has been following all over the world.
He, however, appreciated the effort of teaching the students of Manipur through Digital Education System although a bit late.
He continued that with the commencement of Digital Education System at Azad Higher Secondary School today, the local students will experience a new way of learning and added that such innovative way of teaching and learning should be implemented in every school to bring a sea change in our education system.
A teachers' training programme was also conducted in the second session of the Digital Education programme while Prashant Sharma, Senior program manager (education), SELCO Foundation Bangalore conducted the training programme as resource person.
