Close on the heels of the Febraury 20 state-wide bandh, called by the written test qualified candidates for primary teachers 2006, Thadou Students' Association, Sadar Hills district committee has appealed the Government to consider the fate of thousands of students and take a positive decision soon on the matter as the academic session of the year began.
The association also drew the attention of the concerned authorities to conduct viva-voce soon failing which the association will join the agitation in the interest of the public.
The association also strongly condemned the killing of S Rojit of Kangpokpi Bazar by Imphal East commandos on February 15 at Hatta Minuthong.
The deceased is a student and not related to any UG group, and the allegations labelled against him are totally baseless, the association clarified.
