ABVP calls for youth participation in mock drill

Imphal, May 06 2025: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has called upon the youth and students to participate in the 'Civil Defence Mock Drill' being organized nationwide by the Ministry of Home Affairs tomorrow.

Saying that the nationwide mock drill is a vital step towards strengthening civilian and institutional preparedness, an ABVP press release has informed that it will include testing of air raid warning sirens, crash blackout exercises, rehearsals for safe evacuation of civilians, and training of youth and general public in safety measures during emergencies.

Additionally, strategic camouflage techniques will be practiced to conceal critical installations such as radar stations and power plants.

According to ABVP Manipur State Secretary, Gautam Philem, the mock drill will be held in seven districts of Manipur: Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Tengnoupal, and Ukhrul.
