Thoubal, January 31 2025: The month long observation of National Road Safety Month, 2025 concludes today at Thoubal with an awareness programme.

2025 is being held from January 1 to January 31 .

The event organised by District Administration, Thoubal in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Thoubal branch was attended by Deputy Commissioner Thoubal and IRCS Thoubal president, Ahanthem Subhash, vice-president, Dr Ksh Manglem, secretary, K Sadananda, Thoubal Traffic Police, Officer in Charge, DSP, Y Sunant as presidium members.

As part of today's programme, DC Thoubal flagged off a team of IRCS Thoubal branch to spread awareness at different areas of Thoubal district.

Speaking at the occasion, DC Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhas noted that the month long National Road Safety Month, 2025 is being organised in the district from Jan 1-31 to spread awareness about road safety to the public.

As part of today's closing programme, an awareness programme on Road safety is being held at four different locations - Thoubal Melaground, Wangjing, Yairipok and Lilong, said the DC.

During the month-long Road Safety Month, the District Police, Transport and Motor Vehicle department were able to collect a sum of Rs 15 lakh from traffic violators through e-challan, asserted the DC.

The DC also emphasizes the importance of abiding the traffic rules to ensure road safety.
