Medical equipment handed over to District Hospital Thoubal

Thoubal, February 22 2024:
The District Administration Thoubal handed over medical equipment for the Ultrasound Unit to the staff of District Hospital Thoubal during a simple function held today at the Deputy Commissioner Thoubal conference hall.
The medical equipment were procured from the monetary contributions made by individuals from different walks of life in Thoubal district along with the support of the District Administration Thoubal.
Speaking at the function organised by the District Administration Thoubal, Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash Singh IAS expressed belief that the ultrasound equipment donated today will help in addressing the inconveniences faced by the hospital and the public due to shortage of equipment in the unit.

Stating that the medical equipment donated today is worth Rs 2, 24,000, the DC expressed gratitude to all who have contributed for the noble cause in the larger interest of the people of the district.
Such noble gestures from the public will help to a large extent in overcoming the various shortcomings in the district, the DC said.
He recalled that the Manipur State Co-operative Bank and HDFC Bank have donated medical equipment to the hospital earlier.
The DC also appealed to all to continue extending the best possible aid to make the District Hospital Thoubal one of the model hospitals in Manipur.
Today's function was also attended by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Thoubal Dr Y Nokul; District Hospital Thoubal Medical Superintendent Dr Ruhinikumar, DPM Ch Basanta and the donors.
The DC honoured the donors and well-wishers by presenting traditional shawls during the occasion.
