Thangso Baite, Member of Parliament from Outer Manipur Constituency today stated that all inhabitants of Manipur including those settled outside Manipur should always think for the welfare and prosperity of Manipur.
Even though they were settled outside Manipur, they should not forget Manipur and they should always love Manipur.
Baite was speaking at the Felicitation Function organized for him by the Kuki Students Organization, Delhi at Mizoram House, Lt.Ribhu Saxena Marg, Vasant vihar here.
He appealed to the students to study hard and to work for betterment of the whole of Manipur.
"Humanity is the ideal religion which we should adopt", he said.
Being a first timer in the Lok Sabha, he said that he was observing the parliamentary system.
He said that he would raise various issues for development and welfare of the people of Manipur in the next session.
He opened his door to all for solving any issues, he said.
W.L.Hangshing, Commissioner, Manipur Bhavan, New delhi who was also the Adviser of Kuki Students Organization, Delhi gave the welcome address.
Holkhomang Haokip, former Lok Sabha MP also spoke in the function.
Suanliankhup Baite, President of Kuki Students Organization, Delhi presented a bouquet to Thangso Baite, MP.
Thangso Baite is a member of the Lok Sabha.
He represents the Outer Manipur constituency of Manipur and entered the 15th Lok Sabha after winning the elections as a party candidate of the Indian National Congress.
