Protest staged against gun attack

Imphal, March 19 2025: Denouncing the gun attack carried out by unknown miscreants at the residence of RK Manisana in Uripok Achom Leikai Lane No 1, Meira Paibis and elders of the area staged a sit-in protest at Uripok Achom Leikai today.

Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, Uripok Achom Leikai Meira president S Modhubala said that armed miscreants fired some rounds towards the residence of RK Manisana at around 4 pm yesterday.

She strongly condemned the gun attack carried out in a residential area and urged all to refrain from creating an atmosphere of fear during this difficult time.

At the sit-in, the protestors displayed placards with slogans such as, "We condemn gun attacks in residential areas", "We want peace", "Violence is not the answer", etc.
