Imphal, May 14 2025: Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has ordered the release of Mark Thangmang Haokip on bail on his execution of Rs 2 lakh PR bond and 2 bail bonds of like amount in connection with a case registered at Imphal police station.

While Mark Thangmang Haokip is involved in several cases, the present case is on against him for making derogatory and defamatory comments to wards freedomfighter Haipei Rani Gaidinliu on his Facebook and Twitter accounts on November 23, 2021.Mark Thangmang Haokip (40) hails from Molnom, Churachandpur district He was arrested from a residence at Kishangarh in New Delhi on May 24, 2022.Self-styled president of the "Govemment of People's Democratic Republic of Kukiland", Mark has been accused of being involved in a conspiracy for secession from India and waging war against the Govt of India.

While the NIA is investigating the case, Mark was recently granted bail by the Special Judge, NIA Imphal West.
