TNCL demands re-tender of rigid pavement works of Ukhrul, Kamjong

Ukhrul, April 08 2025: The Tangkhul Naga Contractor Long (TNCL)/ Contractors Association strongly contested against the tender bidding for rigid pavement with thin white topping work in the district headquarters of both Ukhrul and Kamjong.

In this connection, TNCL has submitted an objection to the Chief Secretary of Manipur for his immediate intervention to cancelled and for re-tendering of the same projects to be taken up in both Ukhrul and Kamjong district, stating the reasons of malpractice of adducing the recently floated tender invited by Executive Engineer, Ukhrul & Kamjong Division PWD.

The TNCL pointed out that some contractors in collusion with inexperienced circles cross-violated the tendered bids at an unsustainable rate of 36% below from the actual government scheduled rate.

It might be mentioned that Rs 20.32 crore of rupees has been sanctioned for Ukhrul for construction of rigid pavement with thin white topping in Ukhrul district headquarters road.
