Imphal, July 02 2017:
Like former CM O Ibobi was accused of collecting 15 pc of any schemes or projects, the present BJP led Government is enjoying 20 pc of Govt schemes and projects, said MLA N Loken .
MLA N Loken was speaking as the chief guest at the 10th Thokchom Nabakumar Memorial meritorious Award distribution ceremony organised by Th Nabakumar Memorial Trust today at TAYC ground, Tangkham Awang Leikai .
During the last 15 years, former CM O Ibobi was accused of collecting 15 pc of schemes and project.
But the present BJP led Government which completes just 3 months in office recently is enjoying 20 pc of Govt schemes and projects, N Loken said .
Accusing the BJP led Government of taking huge amount of money for any work in every department, Loken further said that the anti-corruption cell opened by the Government is just a deception, only used as a tool to cover up their corrupt practices .
What the BJP-led State Government claimed to have completed under its 100-day programme were all implemented in the State through flagship programmes of the erstwhile UPA Govt, he said .
Newspapers are nowadays filled with advertisements of the BJP led NDA Govt’s ‘achievement,’ Loken said while challenging the BJP Government to pin-point any pro-people schemes or projects taken up by them exclusively .
What Narendra Modi has done in three years is governance through advertisements in the media, N Loken said while also strongly criticising the BJP’s boasting through the media .
Loken was however praiseful to the Govt for its efforts to end the longest economic blockade in the State and bringing an end to the Ccpur imbroglio .
The present Govt inaugurated various buildings which were constructed by the previous Govt through SSA and RUSA.
He also pointed out that locals of Ukhrul recently denied inauguration of a building as the local MLA was not informed .
MLA Thokchom Lokeshore presided the function.
MLAs D Korungthang, DD Thaisii and local elder Ng Budha were also present .
MLA Thokchom Lokeshore said people of the area should not allow the inauguration of Dolaithabi project until pipe water supply to the people from the project is ensured.
