Imphal, February 28:
he People's United Liberation Front (PULF) has identified six employees/officials for their alleged involvement in siphoning off huge amount of flood relief fund meant for families of certain Thoubal district areas who suffered immense devastation during the natural calamity of 2003-04. According to a pULF release issued by its information and publicity secretary Md Belan Khan an intense investigation launched by the outfit some 4/5 months back narrowed down upon the six individuals as the main culprits who have been asked to surrender within five days.
The individuals black-listed by PULF are former SDO K Gopal Kabui of Lilong Chingkham who has been transferred to the Tribal Development Department; Thoubal SDO N Surjit Singh of Soibam Leikai; former SDC (Hqs) S Budha Singh and currently serving as Wangoi SDO; SDO (lilong) Th Dembarjit of Yumnam Leikai; and SDC Md Abdul Samad who has been transferred as SDC (Tamenglong).
The flood relief fund was sanctioned after a prolonged delay in the aftermath of a devastating flood in Lilong area.
