Imphal, March 15: Commissioning of Sanitary Items Production under DRDA, Senapati was held at Urangpat village of Saikul Block today.

The inaugural of the function organised by Integrated Rural Management Association was attended by Additional District Magistrate Kangpokpi K Thansang, MCS as chief guest, SDO Saikul Manihar Singh as functional president and Post Commander of 23 AR, Ngarumphung Maj Akshay Singh as guest of honour.

Demonstration on sanitary item production and repairing and displaying of the products made by the trainees were the main highlights of the event.

Speaking at the occasion, Thansang appreciated the works being taken up by the Integrated Rural Management Association and expressed desire for producing more and more products so as to provide self employment to many people.

SDO Manihar pointed out that developmental activities could not reach out to all the 260 villages under the Saikul Block due to law and order problem.

Post Commander of 23 AR Akshay and District Youth Co-ordinator of NYK Kangpokpi H Doungel were also among those who spoke at the occasion.
