Imphal, February 15: With the vision to uplift the social status as well preserve and enrich culture, custom and tradition of the Zo community the Zomi Namni Organising Committee, Chandel will organise the District Level Zomi Namni Festival 2008 to commemorate its diamond jubilee year on February 20 at Sugnu Zokhawpi, said a release.

Calling upon all especially the Zo Ningols of Chandel district to join in the celebration under the theme "Working towards a common nomenclature and common culture", the host Committee further informed that Chandel AC's MLA Pu Thangkholun Haokip will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
