Imphal, January 07:
Disclosing that some organisations have been demanding huge amounts of money from different branch offices of the United Bank of India, the United Forum of Bank Unions in United Bank of India has decried the unaffordable demand.
A press release issued by the Forum stated that it is beyond the individual capacity of the employees to fulfil the monetary demands.
The UBI being a Government undertaking, the bank authority has also no capacity to fulfil the demands.
As such, it is feared that the monetary demand of these groups may lead to closure of the UBI branch offices.
In view of the helplessness of the bank employees and in the interest of the people, the Forum appealed to all concerned not to make such huge monetary demands and to withdraw the present demand.
