Bishnupur, July 15 2017:
Thanga AC MLA Tongbram Robindro Singh along with Executive Engineer L Gokulchandra and staff of PHED Bishnupur Division distributed relief materials to the flood affected areas of Thanga AC today .
The MLA distributed 500 bags of rice (25 kgs each) to houses at Sendra foothills, Ithing, Ngaram, Samukol, Heisnam, Salam, Oinam, Khunjem, Keibul, Sagram, Khordak and Nongmaikhong .
Terming the present flood situation as the gravest in 50 years, Robindro told the media persons that the people of the AC are facing many difficulties and hardship especially the farmers and fishermen who has to work daily for their livelihood .

He sought the attention of the State Government to take up all necessary measures for the victims .
Gokulchandra stated that the PHED Bishnupur Division will continue to extend aid and assistance like before .
Meanwhile, Kumbi AC MLA S Bira inspected two medical camps which were organised today by the District Health Society, Primary Health Centre, Kumbi and the local clubs under the supervision of the MLA .
One of the medical camp was conducted at Primary Health Sub-Centre, Wangoo Sandangkhong by District Health Society, Bishnupur and the another was held at Wangoo community hall by Primary health Centre, Kumbi, Development Youth Association and Wangoo Welfare Association .
Altogether the camps were attended by 400 people where medicines were distributed free of cost .
On the other hand, Chief Whip/Advisor to CM and MLA of Moirang AC P Saratchandra visited many flood affected areas and relief camps of Moirang AC today .
The MLA distributed 21 bags of rice to the relief camps set up at Sunusiphai Farmer’s Club, Naranseina Mamang community hall .
An organisation based in Churachandpur, Meitei Youth Organisation (MYO) and Churachandpur Meitei Leikai Youth Club, Khumujamba Meitei Leikai extended relief aid to the flood victims of Moirang AC by distributing 12 bags of rice, one bag of potato, one bag of dal to Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup (KEMAL) .
KEMAL lauded the members of MYO for extending relief materials.
