AMMSA organises blood donation camp at RIMS

Imphal, April 08 2025: The All Manipur Medical Students' Association (AMMSA) organized a voluntary blood donation camp today at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.

A total of 62 donors participated in the camp, including 38 medical students from RIMS and 24 other voluntary donors from the local community, said a press release.

Speaking at the event, Dr RK Lenin Singh, Professor of Psychiatry, RIMS, emphasized the value of service in the medical profession.

He described blood donation as a noble act that brings hope and life to those in need, and praised AMMSA along with the student donors for their compassion and initiative.

The blood donation camp was conducted under the guidance of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, ensuring all safety protocols were strictly followed.

The initiative also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and its life-saving impact.
