K Kanarjit nominated

Youth activist Kangujam Kanarjit Singh s/o K Ibotombi Singh of Bashikhong Wangkhei Loumanbi Mapal has been nominated to receive the prestigious 'Global Youth Icon Award 2015' .
Other personalities nominated to receive the awards include Nobel Peace Prize 2014 winner Malala Yousafzai and a German child activist Felix Finkbeiner, according to a statement issued by Youth Disaster Response Team, Manipur.
Kanarjit will receive the award on July 25 at Marg Swarnabhoomi, Chennai during IYONS from former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in the presence of Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Prize 2014 winner and other distinguished guests including few Union Ministers and Chief Ministers.
Kangujam Kanarjit, popularly known as KK Singh is the founder of Club 25 International Manipur.
He is said to be the first Indian to have donated blood 25 times before attaining 25 years of age.
He was instrumental in organising Global Youth Meet 2014 and World Youth Summit 2015 in Imphal.
Besides involving in various social and youth issues, Kanarjit had also initiated the 'Global campaign for rescue, relief and rehabilitation for the victims of Nepal quake victims' .
