Extracurriucular activities enhance innate talents of students, says DMU VC

The Annual College Week 2022-23 of GP Women's College was inaugurated today by Dhanamanjuri University Vice-Chancellor, Professor N Rajmuhon Singh.
The 5-day college week is being organised by GP Women's College Students' Union with an aim to provide a platform to showcase the talents of the students.
Various activities have been lined up to be competed by the six houses of the College including Miss GP pageant will be held during the annual college week.
The inaugural function was graced by Principal of the College and Dean, School of Social Sciences, DMU Professor Rajkumari Tamphasana and vice president GP Women's College Student Union 2022-23, Dr Maisnam Bidyasagar as the presidium members.
Addressing the inaugural function, Professor N Rajmuhon Singh asserted that the annual college week will help in strengthening the bond of love and friendship among the students of different communities.
He continued that conducting extracurricular activities will help the students in enhancing their innate talents thereby contributing in their overall development.
The VC further maintained that focusing on sports activities will inculcate discipline and spirit of dedication among the students.
While speaking at the occasion, Professor Rajkumari Tamphasana expressed belief that the activities conducted during the college week will pave way for the students to pursue other fields apart from academic knowledge.
The Annual Freshers Social Meet was the main event of the inaugural day of the college week.
