Imphal, February 15: The Regional News Unit of All India Radio, Imphal will broadcast an interview with Director of RIMS Prof L Fimate on the Kangla Channel (Khongjel Nachom) on February 17 and 18 at 7 am, said a statement issued by the Head of the RNU, BB Sharma.

The programme will also be broadcast from the AIR, CCpur Station later.

During an interactive session with journalists, professionals and students, Prof Fimate said that though RIMS has now become a premier medical institute with super specialists in various fields, many patients continue to go outside the State for treatment, incurring great financial cost.

RIMS will also be on par with AIIMS soon with the opening of Dental and Nursing Colleges.
