Imphal, May 26 2022: The State has now two Covid-19 active cases after an individual from Imphal West was confirmed positive out of 76 samples tested during the last 24 hours which implies daily positivity rate of 1.3 per cent.

However, there is neither any report of Covid related death nor recovery or discharge of Covid-19 positive person during the last 24 hours.

Nonetheless, the pandemic had already claimed 2120 lives in the State. The cumulative number of positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,232 (general population 1,32,218 and Central security personnel 5,014) .

This figure includes 1,35,110 recovered cases (general population 1,30,103 and Central security personnel 5,007) and two active cases from the general population.

The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.45 per cent.

Taking into account 1660 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,88,518 (first dose 15,67,990, second dose 12,25,432 and precautionary dose 95,096) .

Till Wednesday, 61.84 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 52.03 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
