Election campaign ends, training held for polling personnel

The campaigning for the first phase of 18th Lok Sabha Election ended today evening at 4 pm in Thoubal district which will go to polls on April 19.With the end of election campaigning, measures have been taken up to flag off polling personnel to their assigned polling stations from 9 am tomorrow.
Polling personnel who have assigned duties at 32-Wangkhem Assembly Constituency, 35- Khangabok AC, Rice Research Station Khangabok relief camp Special Polling Station and Wangjing Kodompokpi Special polling Station will be flagged off from Thoubal Mini Secretariat Complex from 9 am onwards.
While the polling personnel for 31-Thoubal AC, 33-Heirok AC, 34-Wangjing Tentha AC, 30-Lilong AC will be flagged off from Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School playground.
Meanwhile, a training programme in connection with the ensuing tok Sabha Election was held today at the District Election Counting hall for the Sector Officers, Zonal Commanders and Sector Commanders of the district.
During the training, District Election Officer (DEO) Thoubal Ahanthem Subhash Singh and SP Thoubal Rakesh Balwan appealed to the trainees to make sincere and dedicated efforts for the peaceful conduct of the election.
The DEO and SP Thoubal also advised the trainees to contact the higher authorities concerned in case of any issue.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Additional SP and AROs also attended today's training session.
