Workshop & Innovators' Meet kicks off

Imphal, May 14 2025: A 3-day State Level Training Workshop & Innovators' Meet kicked off today at Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC) Complex in Takyelpat, Imphal.

The event is organised by the MASTEC, Imphal in collaboration with National Innovation Foundation (NIF), India, an autonomous organisation under Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.

The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Kengoo Zuringla, Secretary, Science & Technology; Dr Arvind C Ranade, Director, NIF India; Dr Vivek Kumar, Scientist 'F', NIF India; and Dr Kh Rakesh, Director, MASTEC Imphal.

Speaking on the occasion, Kengoo Zuringla said that innovation is the cornerstone of modem economic development and plays a critical role in shaping the trajectory of societal well-being.

"In today's rapidly evolving world, innovation is not just a buzzword but an imperative for growth.

It is the spark that fuels the engine of economic expansion and promotes social welfare", she added.

She also emphasized the importance of grassroot innovators in driving change from the ground up and demonstrating the power of local knowledge and community-based solutions.

Appreciating the NIF and MASTEC for organising this important event, Kengoo Zuringla exhorted the participants to use the knowledge they gain from different experts wisely to become successful in their respective field.

The Training Workshop & Innovators' Meet conducted under the theme "Transforming Manipur through Grassroots Ingenuity", was participated by 70 farmers and 24 innovators.
