Numerous meritorious award functions organised at different parts of State

Imphal, June 09 2019: With a view to motivate, encourage and support the students of class X and XII who passed out the examinations with flying colours, numerous felicitation programmes were organised at different locations of the State.

Development Committee Keishamthong Kendra, under the sponsorship of social worker as well as Meipa Industry chairman Maheshwar Thounaojam (Mahesh), organised the 1st Sinaiyok Meritorious Award 2019 at Keishampat community hall today.

Position holders and 1st divisioners of class X and XII examination conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE were awarded during the function.

Speaking at the function, social worker Mahesh stated that the students were felicitated so as to encourage their hard work and dedication.

He said that such functions help motivate the students further in their academic career and added that the organisers will make sure that Sinaiyok meritorious award distribution is organised next year again.

Mahesh said that free coaching classes are being carried out for class X and XII students of Keishamthong Kendra under his guidance.

The meritorious awards were presented to a total of 200 successful students including 15th position holder, 20th and 23rd position holder of class X examination (BOSEM) and 17th position holder of class XII examination (COHSEM).

Retired SO, Secretariat, Wanhengbam Amuba, Film Forum chairman Mangoljao, secretary Haodam Leirak Club, Takhellambam Gyan attended the function as presidium members among others.

On the other hand, Public Club, Top Khongnangmakhong also felicitated students who passed class X and XII exams with flying colours, at The Public Club Library cum Information Hall today.

Laishram Premananda of Public Club underscored the role of all in uplifting the students, who are the pillars of the society.

Khurai Khaidem Leikai GP Pradhan RK Muktasana, Public Club president Laishram Vivekananda, BJP Khurai Mandal president Ng Ranbir attended the event as dignitaries.

Altogether 16 students were awarded with certificates and gifts.

Meanwhile, The United Clubs IMC Ward No 4 Uripok organised 9th meritorious award ceremony for 1st divisioners of class X and XII examinations 2019 of IMC ward no 4 Uripok at Shri Shri Radha Govindajee Mandap, Uripok Tourangbam Leikai.

Retired DGP as well as Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar grace the event as the chief guest while Co-operator ward no 4, L Arenkumar attended as the guest of honour and United Clubs IMC ward no 4 Uripok president Khwairakpam Tarunkumar as the president.

UTLWO president Dumbra, ISC president L Gourachandra Sharma, NYDO vice president Laishram Tarunkumar, SYO vice president H Priyokumar, DCYS president N Bimol and UGLYA president I Lokendrajit also attended the event.

70 students who passed the class X and XII examinations were awarded during the function.

In another event, BJP Heingang Mandal also organised a felicitation ceremony for successful students of class X and XII, at Luwangshangbam community hall today.

The ceremony was graced by wife of Chief Minister N Biren, N Hiyainu as the chief guest while BJP Heingang Mandal president Khumantham Jila attended as president and Imphal East Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha P Bimola as the guest of honour.

A total of 471 students in Heingang AC including 8 State holders and first divisioners in class X and XII (BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE) of Heingang AC were awarded during the function.

Ubakthong Area Development Organisation and All Meitei Pangal Student Union of Manipur joined hands to organise a meritorious award function for successful students of class X and XII conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE, at Ubakthong junction today.

The event was attended by Thoubal district Adhyaksha Hasina Begum, Turel Ahanbi Atoukhong GP pradhan Md Idrish Ali, Adl SP Abdul Kalam among others.

The 9th position holder in HSLC exam of Lilong AC and 16th position holder in HSE of Ubakthong area along with 33 successful students were feted.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest of the event motivated the students not to sit idle and urged them to gather as much knowledge from books as well as from other sources.

She also urged all parents and teachers to be supportive of the career path that their children choose and guide them in the right way.

Felicitating the high marks scorers in class X and XII examinations of Top Dusara Gram Panchayat, over 46 students were given meritorious awards at a function held at Ema Nongmairembi Community Hall in Top Awang Leikai, said a press release issued by Pradhan Top Dusara Gram Panchayat.

Ksh Tama, Up-Adyaksha Imphal East, Mayanglambam Surbala, Pradhan TDGP and Thingbaijam Biren Singh, retired ZEO, zone -II, Imphal East attended the function as dignitaries.

Cash awards, donated by Th Biren, were presented to the students during the function.

A total of 120 students who scored high marks in the Class X and XII examinations conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE, from Chajing, Narankonjil, Karam, Haoreibi and Lilong Santipur, were felicitated as a part of the 14th Late N Gunindro Memorial Meritorious Award distribution which was organised at Lilong Chajing Pukhri Achouba Mapal Lai Haraobung under the aegis of Employed Welfare Organization (EWO) today.

Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Y Khemchand, CAF&PD Minister Karam Shyam, Keirao AC MLA L Rameshwor Meitei and EWO president Dr Shyamkumr Laishram attended the event as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
