District e-Governance Society meet held in Kakching

A District Level meeting of the District e-Governance Society (DeGS), Kakching was held today at the NIC Conference Hall, DC Office Complex Kakching.
The meeting was chaired by Rohit Anand, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kakching.
During the meeting, the DC advised the officials concerned to give strong emphasis on the usage of e-Office in the district and also asked the DIT officials to conduct training programmes regarding e-Office for the District Level Officers (DLOs).
He said e-Office will enhance efficiency, transparency and accountability.
This will also streamline workflow, reduce paper usage and improve data security and integrity.
They were also urged to look into the SWAN connections and status of those already connected in the district, especially in areas like Pallel, Sugnu and Serou.
The main agendas of today's meeting were about the implementation/status of State Wide Area Network (SWAN), e-District, and BharatNet Project.
It may be mentioned that the BSNL has made 586 connections so far in the district under the BharatNet Project.
The meeting was attended by members of the District e-Govemance Society (DeGS) including Priyadarshini Laishram, Superintendent of Police; Kherdananda Potsangbam, SDO/BDO Kakching; T Ranita, District Information Officer (DIPR); M Sanayai Devi, CSC DM; A Beenarani Devi, District Informatics Officer (NIC); Y Santos Singh, SDE BSNL, Y Achouba, ZEO; Sapam Lalhari, IO, DIT and representative of DSO (CAF & PD) .
