Senapati, May 14 2025: The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has directed all constituent and sub-ordinate units of ANSAM to hoist the Naga National Flag to mark the commemoration of the 74th Naga Plebiscite Day on May 16 .

Acknowledging the ANSAM directive, the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has instructed all institutions in the district to declare May 16, 2025 as a holiday in honour of the historic Naga Plebiscite Day of 1951.It is worth noting that the ANSAM directive comes in accordance with the resolution adopted at its Second Presidential Council Meeting and in consonance with the resolutions of the First Legislative Assembly of ANSAM for the 2024-2026 tenure.

The Senapati District Students' Association has also stressed the significance of Naga Plebiscite Day saying that it resonates deeply within the Naga community, represents a pivotal moment in history and provides an opportunity for reflection on the identity, rights, and aspirations of the Nagas.

Furthermore, SDSA has encouraged students to organise events and activities that promote understanding and respect for its cultural heritage during the day.
