Imphal, May 02 2014 :
Families of two cadres of URF have accused the outfit of murdering two of its cadres and later burying their bodies.
The matter came to light of the when the wife of the cadre filed a complaint to police.
Captain Irengbam Washington alias Bode alias Milankumar (32) s/o late Kumar of Awang Khunou Maning Leikai and 2nd Lt Pukhrambam Somorjit alias Wahengcha (32) w/o Laxman of Waheng Khuman disappeared from the designated from the night of March 18 .
Since then, the families could not establish any sort of communication with the duo.
It is said that Irengbam Washington alias Bode alias Milankumar also held the post of camp commander.
Now URF is being accused of smacking the duo to death and later burying their bodies inside their designated camp.
Meanwhile, URF home secretary Puyam Ruhini said that they realised two cadres were missing when all the cadres assembled for the usual fall-in line in the morning of March 19 .
Regarding their disappearance, a missing report was filed at Sekmai police station on March 19 itself and their families were duly informed.
The allegation that they have been killed and their bodies buried is baseless and it sounds weird.
On the other hand, Washington's wife Sobita filed a complaint at Sekmai P/S on April 30 .
According to the complaint, six persons including Washington came to her maternal home at Phayeng Awang Leikai in a black Chevrolet Tavera car at around 10.30 pm of March 18 .
After that, Washington's mobile phone was switched off.
Nonetheless, Washington's wife claimed she was informed by someone that her husband was killed and his body buried inside the designated camp.
She also appealed to police authority to search for her husband's body inside the designated camp.
Another source informed that all six of them visited Somorjit's house in the same black car in the afternoon of March 18 .
Quoting URF chairman Lanheiba's Meitei statement given through telephone, Ruhini maintained that Washington and Somorjit fled away from the designated camp and the outfit has been looking for them.
Such politically motivated allegation would turn out to be a deterrent to the peace talk which is in the pipe line.
No one should make any wild allegation with regard to the deserters, Ruhini conveyed as stated by Lanheiba.
