Amit Shah assures no decision sans consulting stakeholders

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured the State that no decision will be taken without consulting all the stakeholders.
This was assured when the Chief Minister N Biren led All Political Party delegates met him at New Delhi today.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, along with representatives of various political parties of the State, left Imphal for Delhi today afternoon to meet with the Central leaders in light of the Indo-Naga peace talks.
On the other hand, 6 companies of Central Para Military Forces (CPMFs) reached Imphal today in light of the security situation in the State.

According to a source, the CM along with the political party leaders, left for Delhi to make the Central leaders aware of the sentiments of the people of Manipur regarding the solution of the Naga issue.
Stating that the representatives of the political parties are being led by Deputy CM Y Joykumar, the source conveyed that the team will submit a memorandum containing the demands of the people of Manipur, to the Prime Minister and the Central leaders.
The delegates met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and presented the case of the State and following this, Amit Shah assured that no decisions will be taken without consulting all the stakeholders.
The delegates also submitted similar memos to G Kishan Reddy, MoS Home and DoNER Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh.
However, the team is yet to get an approval for meeting the PM, the source added.
The source further mentioned that looking after the law and order situation in the State, 6 companies of CPMF have reached Imphal today and 9 more will reach the State Capital by tomorrow.
The source continued that the State Government has made preparations to deploy the CPMFs at DM College, ISBT, Modern College and MB College and the security measures have been beefed up as well.
To pre-empt any disturbances, Imphal East District Magistrate has directed fire tenders to be deployed at Kongba Bazaar, Pureiromba and Lamlong Bazaar of Imphal East district.
On the other hand, Joint Director (MST) has also been instructed to keep 3 MST buses handy for public transportation tomorrow.
The District Magistrate has also instructed the Government and private hospitals in Imphal East district to make necessary arrangements for ambulance and first aid kits.
Imphal West District Magistrate has also issued similar orders to the authorities concerned, the source added.
