Imphal, August 26 2011:
On account of the indefinite general strike being imposed by the SHDDC and the counter blockade called by the UNC in Naga dominated areas, petrol, diesel and LPG stocks are on the threshold of hitting the rock bottom.
Information received from the IOC North East Integrated Sales Office Imphal said that only 226 Kl of petrol and 846 Kl of diesel are left in Chingmeirong IOC depot.
Compared to the average daily requirement of fuel in the State, the available stock of petrol would last for three days and diesel would last for nine days.
As per an intimation given by the CAF&PD OSD to the depot's Senior Manager, supply of petrol, diesel and kerosene to Senapati, Tamenglong, Ukhrul and Chandel has been ceased.
At present, 2269 Kl of kerosene is available at the depot.
With the ATF stock depleted to only 246 Kl, supply of ATF has also been suspended.

In case, the loaded trucks cannot reach Imphal by August 28, sale of fuel on would be completely stopped from August 29, informed the source.
