U-14 Boys' Cricket : PCC to lock horns with KSDO in title clash

PCC, Mayaikoibi will lock horns with KSDO, Kyamgei in the title clash of the MNCA U-14 Boys Cricket Tournament final on March 3 at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
PCC sealed the final ticket with a 9-wicket win over SHADOW in the first semi-final today at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak courtesy of Lucky Thokchom's all round performances.
PCC restricted toss winners SHADOW to 90/7 and cruised to winning 93 in just 9.3 overs at the cost of one wicket.
Rojer Laishram, Lucky Thokchom and Pravin Kumar picked one wicket apiece to give SHADOW early jitters and reduce them to 13/3 in 7.5 overs before Leishangthem Nelson (2/14 in 5 overs) got rid of Maverick Wakambam 12 and James Sahu 11 to leave further dent on SHADOW innings.

Chinglemba Haobam collected the highest 18 for SHADOW before he got run out for the 7th wicket.
Sonu Kumar 12 and Arubam Goshan 1 were unbeaten as the innings ended at 90/7 .
In reply, PCC lost Akshay Mahto Kumar (5) early but Lucky Thokchom and Pravin Kumar combined well to take on SHADOW bowlers and forge a 73 run partnership for the second wicket to seal the victory.
Lucky Thokchom was one run shy from making a half century as he clobbered 9 fours and 1 six off 23 balls while Pravin Kumar hit 4 fours and 1 six en route to his 26-ball 28 .
Elsewhere at THAU Ground, KSDO, Kyamgei notched up a 52 run victory over AKSDO to seal the remaining final berth.
KSDO racked up a lowly total of 135/9 despite Kh Firdos' 61-ball 66 but it was more than enough for them seal the victory as they managed to bundle out KSDO for 83 runs in 20.4 overs on the back of Md Shadik Israak Hussain (4/18), Md Soheb (3/10) and Md Abu Sufiyan (2/11) .
Md Gunbas 22 and Sangomsumpham Arish 17 also managed double digit figures for KSDO in their innings which saw Chingamba Elangbam (2/13), Bidyananda Ningthoujam (2/18), Waikhom Avinash (2/28) and Bidyasagar Khundrakpam (2/32) pick two wickets apiece.
Saikhom Dinesh scored the highest 26 for AKSDO in the chase as 8 batters were dismissed cheaply.
