ITLF Women's Wing condemns rape accusation

Imphal, August 16 2023: Refuting the allegation of gang-rape of a Meetei woman by Kuki mob in Churachandpur district on May 3, ITLF Women's Wing asserted that the alleged incident is a fabricated one and has tarnished the sanctity of the women community at large.

The ITLF Women's Wing questioned the authenticity of this allegation and stated that this stands in contrast to the standard practice of concealing the identities of rape victims for their safety.

Claiming that the victim shows no.rape trauma syndrome, the body argued that the timing of these claims raises scepticism about their veracity and suggests a potential ulterior motive.
