Meghachandra to join film discussion

Imphal, February 29 2024:
Manipuri film critic Meghachandra will be taking part at the discussion session on the topic "Trends and Opportunities in Curation and Criticism in Film Education" at RV University, Bengaluru organised by School of Film, Media and Creative Arts of the university on March 1 .
Meghachandra, who is also a member of International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), will be participating in the discussion among six delegates of India.
FIPRESCI India president VK Joseph, academic council coordinator N Vidyashanker and members of the executive council namely Ashok Rane, Dr Rita Dutta and Premendra Muzumder will also be taking part in the discussion session.
Meghachandra of Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal worked in the Department of Information and Public Relations for 37 years and retired as the director in 2018.He had also received the Golden Lotus Award for Best Film Critic at the 53rd National Film Awards - 2015 .
He is presently serving as the president of Film Society of Manipur in addition to being the advisor of Manipur Film Journalists and Critics Association.
