Imphal, August 17 2015: While showing solidarity to the ongoing people's movement for introduction of a permit system for protection of indigenous people of the state of Manipur, youths including transgender from different parts of the state staged a peaceful sit-in-protest under the banner of Peace Lover Youths of Manipur on Sunday at the Community Hall of Neinashang Club, Tera Lukrakpam Leikai.

Demanding immediate implementation of ILPS in Manipur, the youths also appealed to the Govt of Manipur to include the five points of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) in the proposed ILPS Bill and to ensure reopening of all educational institutes as soon as possible.
