Imphal, January 27 2015: Demanding complete repeal of AF SPA from all over Manipur, members of Sharmila Kanba Lup (Shakal) staged a silent protest demonstration at Porompat with their mouths covered with black clothes.

Speaking to media persons by the sideline of the protest demonstration, Shakal convenor Momon Leima questioned whether the people of Manipur victimized for the past many decades by AFSPA can feel any zeal or reason to join the country in celebrating the Republic Day.

People of Manipur living under the shadow of draconian law are yet to enjoy real freedom, she said.
