Imphal, March 07 2012:
As the one year term imprisonment of anti-AFSPA crusader Irom Sharmila Chanu ends on March 11, she will be set free the next day.
However, she is neither determined to move into her home nor retract from her cause till her demand for sacrapping AFSPA, 1958 is fulfilled.
Irom Sharmila Chanu, who has been on a fast-unto death stir demanding the repeal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act, 1958 from Manipur, has been incarcerated at the security ward of JN Hospital on charge of 'attempt to commit suicide' under Section 309 of Indian Penal Code.
Sharmila was produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal East today.
The Magistrate has announced that the one year imprisonment sentence of Sharmila would end on March 11 and she would be released on March 12 accordingly.
Talking to reporters en route to the Court, Sharmila anticipated no change in governance unless there is a change in the leadership in the new Government.

She also wondered how long she would be forced to survive with artificial food.
She maintained that for all these eleven years, people have watched her like a circus.
The Court would set her free every year only to be re-arrested for her continuing efforts.
All the while, the intellects of the State would remain a silent spectator, she bemoaned.
She also expressed her emotional disquietude over the silence of many intellects on AFSPA removal issue.
Sharmila also said that she does not consider her eleven years of fasting as a punishment to herself or feel it self-inflicting, rather she feels she was, as a youth, contributing something for the State.
Further the lady appealed all visitors who were denied permission to meet her to come when she is released.
She wanted the nation-wide Save Sharmila solidarity campaign slated to be held on April 6 at 50 places across India to take place before she is re-arrested.
