State celebrates 77th Independence Day : Kangpokpi / CCpur

Kangpokpi district joined the nation today in celebrating the 77th Independence Day, 2023.The main function was organised by the District Administration at the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex at the District Headquarters.

DC Kangpokpi, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya Salute accompanied by National Anthem.

The DC extended good wishes to the District Level Officer (DLOs) as well as to the general public of the Kangpokpi district on occasion of India's 77th Independence Day Celebration.

On the other hand, the Kuki-Zo people in Kangpokpi skipped the celebration organized by the District Administration Kangpokpi and joined the nation in celebrating India's Independence Day with the village volunteers organized by the Committee on Tribal Unity Sadar Hills in one of the peripheral villages.

It may be noted that the Apple Buds Academy Saparmeina in collaboration with the ZEO Kangpokpi organized a simple Independence Day celebration for the children in the relief camp.

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated at Peace Ground, Tuibong here yesterday with grandeur.

DC of the District Dharun Kumar hoisted the Tricolour flag and received the guard of honour.

Around 21 parade contingents including BSF, Civil Police, School students and AR Band party took part in the Independence Day parade.

Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, Dharun Kumar lauded the collaborative efforts of all concerned and the active participation of local organisations, community groups and individuals in various initiatives particularly in connection with relief distribution in the district.
