4 from State to take part in Special Olympic World Summer Games

Imphal, February 05 2019:
Altogether four individuals, 2 coaches and 2 athletes, from Manipur have been selected to be a part of team India in the forthcoming "15th Special Olympic World Summer Games - 2019" which will be held from March 14-21, this year at Abu Dhabi, UAE, said a statement of Area Director, Special Olympic Bharat, Manipur.
The selected individuals, Bishorjit Oinam (Athletic Coach); Amila Huidrom (Futsal Coach); N Herojit Singh, athlete (100m and 200m race) and L Chitra Devi, athlete (futsal football team), will leave Imphal on March 1 and undergo final training for the game at JN Stadium Delhi; Talkatora Stadium and Frank Anthony School till March 7 before leaving for Abu Dhabi on March 8, it said.
The statement further maintained that over 7500 intellectual disabled players from 190 countries will compete in 24 varieties of sports during the games.
