Master Lamnganba, National Bravery Awardee felicitated

The only recipient of "National Bravery Award" from the State, Master Wahengbam Lamnganba Singh from Kumbi IB Road was felicitated during a simple function held at Kumbi today.
The felicitation programme which was jointly organised by Kumbi Municipal Council (KMC), Sports and Cultural Association, Kumbi, Network of Economy and Welfare Services, Kumbi and KALIB Kumbi was graced by KMC, Chairperson, W Priyoranjan, Vice Chairperson, L Babita Devi, social workers, N Ibohal Singh, Kh Sudash Singh and National awardee, Kh Nilachandra Sing along with several Councillors of KMC as the dignitaries.
Master W Lamnganba Singh, son of W Geet Singh and W (O) Romita Devi was honoured with the National Bravery Award at the Republic Day celebration in New Delhi for saving the life of a 2 year old from drowning.
He was chosen for the bravery award by Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW), Gol.
A total of 21 bravehearts from across the country were honoured this year.
The organisers and the presidium members of the event handed over simple gifts to the quick witted "little hero" (Lamnganba) as tokens of encouragement for bravery, courage and kind heart.
