Hockey player M Rabichandra accorded warm welcome

Hockey player Moirangthem Rabichandra who was part of the Indian team which won silver medal at the 3rd Youth Olympic Games 2018 recently held at the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires was given a warm reception by Thoya Development Association at Thoya Leikai community hall in Moirang AC.
The reception ceremony was graced by P Sharatchandra Singh, MLA Moirang AC; local elders.
Thoya Development Association and MLA P Sharatchandra encouraged M Rabichandra, who is the son of late Moirangthem Nimai Singh and Moirangthem Ongbi Bheigyabati Devi during the reception programme.
Sharing his happiness on becoming a part of the Indian team at the Youth Olympics Rabichandra narrated the hard times he had to go through during his struggling period.
He said that he had to visit Imphal often for practise as the Bishnnupur district lack proper infrastructure and had to spend his time, energy and money.
He also expressed desire to see a proper hockey field in the Moirang area and expressed that the area had a huge potential in producing more hockey players in the future.
MLA, P Sharatchandra not only lauded the achievement of the silver medallist but also maintained that he is a pride of Moirang and the State at large.
Hailing the efforts and struggle of the hockey player, P Sharatchandra said has said that Rabichandra is really an inspiration and urged the players of the area to work harder to achieve like the player.
P Sharatchandra also maintained that he will try his best in making Chingei Lampak a proper stadium under Khelo India scheme so that more eminent players can be produced.
