The five day Elite Referees' Course organised by All Manipur Football Association under the joint auspices of Asian Football Confederation and All India Football Federation commenced from today at the Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium office of Vision India Project, Manipur.
In all 50 referees from the districts of Manipur and 13 match commissioners are participating in the Course being held under the supervision of former FIFA referee Sumant Kumar Ghosh, who is also the referee instructor of AIFF.
In his address as the chief guest of the inauguration programme, AMFA president A Santosh Kumar suggested that the course participants avail the opportunity of consulting expert/s so as to ensure smooth and controversy-free conduct of matches.
On the otherhand, the course supervisor/instructor Sumant Kumar Ghosh emphasised on the need for constant consultation and interaction amongst referees to ensure controversy-free conduct of matches.
