NSUC Inter School Sports and Literary Meet concludes

Inter School Sports and Literary Meet organised by Naga Students' Union Chandel (NSUC) under the theme "Unity through Sports and Culture", since October 15 last concluded today in the presence of Krishna Kumar (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Chandel and David Manahring, president NSUC as presidium members.
The last day of the meet saw a busy schedule of various events and competitions.
In the Extempore Speech Competition held today Shangkhil Alisha of Koinonia Training School Chandel won the junior title while SR Oasis of Anallon Christian Institute and Laxmi Kanwal of Oriental Academy finished second and third.
SR Oasis and L Alonika of Anallon Christian Institute finished first and second in the senior category extempore competition while Ungreingam Tholung of South East Manipur Higher Secondary School finished third.
In the quiz competition held today for junior category, Oriental Academy, St Joseph Higher Secondary School Liwa Changning and St Peter Higher Secondary School claimed the first second and third places.
South East Manipur Higher Secondary School, Kapaam; Anallon Christian Institute and St Peter Higher Secondary School clinched first, second and third positions respectively in the senior competition.
In the marathon race for senior boys, Ps Samuel Anal and R Jubilant of Anallon Christian Institute respectively secured the first and second place while Ts Thumson Anal of Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School bagged the third place title.
In the senior girls marathon, Ws Khingam Anal of Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School, Anallon Christian Institute's Sr Khijoyni Anal and Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School's KL Punihring Anal claimed second and third place titles.
In the junior boys marathon race, St Joseph Higher Secondary School's Koning Koshilning Makunga fetched the first place title while Koinonia Training School's Thunwarhring Wanglum and Emanuel Chinir finished second and third.
St Joseph Higher Secondary School's Medarshang Tungshina won the junor girls title while Koinonia Training School's Hringdam Kowlchol Anal and Anallon Christian Institute' Sng Niwar secured the second and the third place.
In the Basket Tying (indigenous games) competition, Koinonia Training School's Endhring Tongsin, Oriental Academy's Tochanshim and St Joseph Higher Secondary School's Minlo Kumlo claimed the first, second and third place titles.
Volleyball
Oriental Academy emerged junior girls' volleyball champions beating St Joseph Higher Secondary School in the final while Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School team were crowned senior girls champions with a win over St Peter Higher Secondary School.
In the junior boys final, Union Model High School defeated Oriental Academy to win the title while St Peter Higher Secondary School claimed the senior boys title beating Maha Union Government Higher Secondary in the final.
Football
Koinonia Training School won the junior boys' football title by beating Oriental Academy in the final while the senior boys' title went to South East Manipur Higher Secondary School by beating Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School.
