Manipur Youth League : LYDA, NMSA cruise into U-15 boys' semis

Imphal, December 07 2018: LYDA and NMSA have sealed their places in the semi-finals today as Group A winners and runners up in the U-15 competition of the ongoing 1st Manipur Youth League organised by Max Sports Academy at Football Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak.

U-15 competition NMSA today thumped MSA by 2-0 goals in the first Group A league match to finish runners up and booked the final berth.

K Angamba found the opener early in the 2nd minute while the decisive goal was scored by J Timothy in the 34th minute of the match.

Later in another Group A league match, LYDA and CMFA played out a goalless draw leaving LYDA on top of the group unbeaten.

In the Group B league match of the same age group, MFA demolished MRT FC in a very one sided match.

It rained goals from the first whistle with Sanamacha scoring as early as two minutes into the game before adding five more goals in the 6th, 30th, 34th, 51st and 55th minute.

Kiran of the same team hit thrice in this game (10', 13', 45') while S Topper found himself four times for his goals in the 20th, 37th, 57th and 60th.Lenin of MFA also got his name on the scoresheet for his two goals in the 31st and the 39th minute.

UTLWO will face MFA in the next Group B league match at 8.30 am on December 9 .

U-13 competition
In the U-13 league matches, SAK were able to edge MSA-A by 4-2 goals to ensure their place in the final.

SAK were in the firontfoot from the beginning as Th Dijen put the team on the scoreboard early in the 7th minute before striking another in the 30th minute.

MSA-A's A Roshan pulled back goal in the 15th minute to draw level but Dijen's second goal followed up to leave his effort in vain.

H Nelson and A Clinton then slotted one goal each in the 42nd and 44th minute to put SAK ahead with a unassailable 4-1 lead while the last goal of the losing side was netted by Paotinmang in the 50th minute.

MSA-B were awarded a walk-over as MRT FC did not turned up for a league match scheduled in the evening.

SAK will play MSA-B in the next U-13 league match on December 9 at 10 am .
