ADC member Rangpung John gifts playground at Sangkhumai Village

Senapati, December 02 2019: Amidst poor funding and financial restraints, 10-Willong DCC ADC member, Rangpung John finally fulfilled the dream of having a fully standard ground for the villagers of Sangkhumai Village, 32 kms from Senapati District DHQs under Willong sub-division.

The playground is considered the best available play field in Willong circle which consist of 7 villages and the dream was realised with the help of contributions made by villagers, former elected members, GREF and present leaders.

The inaugural monolith was unveiled by ADC member (EM), A Rang in the presence of local ADC member Rangpung John; SDO Willong; SDO Chillavai Phaibung; 34 AR Major Arun; MKS; SDSA; Willong & Northern Maram circle leaders, village and church leaders.

Village Chairman Ngouning Zakaria welcomed the congregation while thanking the ADC member for gifting the new ground.

Chief host of the function, Rang David briefed the crowd on the condition of the village while voicing the availability of talents in the region.

ADC member, Rangpung John, also acknowledged the collective contribution to finally materialise the play field.

Chief guest A Rang greeted the local leaders on getting such a good ground in the area and called for unity and togetherness of the Maram people to welcome more development and progress.

Without standing as a united team, we cannot attain prosperity, he said.

Managing director ACCORD, Shing Jerome, stressed on the need to have one voice to usher continuous process of development despite different backgrounds of political parties or organizations or service for the sake of the people.

Willong circle leader, Rang Thomas on the occassion, stated that, generations will remember the gift of such good infrastructure.

During the program, an inaugural friendly football match was played between Northern Maram area XI and Western Maram circle XI .
