61st Mr Manipur Bodybuilding and Physique contest 2023 : Maibam Robert wins Mr Manipur title as Sangai Gym-Khagempalli emerge overal team champions

Imphal, December 11 2023:
Maibam Robert of YVO Gym-Wabagai clinched the Mr Manipur title in the 61st Mr Manipur 2023 conducted by the All Manipur Body Builders Association at JNIMS Auditorium Hall, Porompat from December 9 to 10 .
Robert had topped the senior men's 90+ kg category bodybuilding title to remain in the hunt among winners of 8 other senior weight categories for the Mr Manipur title yesterday.
Thingujam Ritesh Singh of Sangai Gym, Khangempalli who topped the junior men's 75 kg category competition meanwhile claimed the junior overall title.
Sangai Gym also emerged overall team champions off 333 points gathered by the athletes of the gym and coach of the same gym N Ranjit was declared best coach.
Royal Gymnasium-Ukhrul finished team runners up with 24 points besides becoming the gym fielding the highest number of athletes in the State level competition with as many as 32 athletes competing in different categories.

Junior men's bodybuilding competition
The 55 kg category title went to Moirangmayum Rahul Meitei of Sayon Gym, Mayang Imphal as Thounaojam Ajaysana Meitei of Humanity Plus, Uripok and Anoubam Sushilkumar Sharma of Sangai Gym, Khagempalli finished second and third.
Lasihram Sanathoi Meetei of YBBC Gym, Yurembam and Dimpu Kangujam of Super Gym, Khurai were respectively adjuded fourth and fifth.
S Rohit of Hercules Gym, Yairipok sealed the top place in the 60 kg category while Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul's Wungkhui Lungharwo and KYS Mishap finished second and third respectively.
Phaomeilung Phaomei of Gym 24, New Checkon and Sachinkumar Laishram of Equinox Gym, Sagolband finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Haobam Ariya of United Gym Manipur, Naoremthong walked away with the 65 kg category title as Loitongbam Netrajit of YBB Gym, Pishumthong and Sanasam Lobikumar of Wild Gym, Minuthong secured the second and third places respectively.
Lanchenba Athokpam of The Khelen Gym Fitness Centre, Thoubal and Chitamber Thoudam of Humanity Plus, Uripok were placed fourth and fifth respectively.
Thokchom Yaisana of Royal Gymnasium, Ningomthong in the meantime clinched the 70 kg category title finishing ahead of Dhanraj Gupta of Xtreme-Fitness, Mantripukhri (2nd); Khumukcham Pathou of DJ Gym, Kakching (3rd); Yumnam Thomas of City Gym, Uripok (4th) and Yaikhom James of Sangai Gym-Khagempalli (5th) .
In the 75kg category competition, Thingujam Ritesh sealed the top position as RK Mojesh Singh of Apunba Fitness Clan, Singjamei Chingamakha and Rockyson Yanglem of Trainers and Trainees Gym, Yumnam Huidrom finished second and third.
Yuvraj Sonar of Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul secured the fourth place in the competition while Hanson Irom of YBB Gym, Pishumthong finished fifth.
Khangembam Rishikanta of Friends Fitness Gym, Sagolband earned the 75+ category title .
Ricky Hawaibam of Royal Gymnasium finished first runner up in the competition while Chandam Kangleinganba Khuman of RCC (YAS), Khuman Lampak finished second runner up.
Finishing fourth and fifth in the same category were Brahmacharimayum Inao Sharma of Royal Gymnasium, Ningomthong and Haobijam Deepak of Super Gym, Khurai.
Senior Men's Bodybuilding
Nehal Chongthom of Chumthang Sanapung emerged winner of the senior men's 55 kg category bodybuilding title as Moirangmayum Rahul Meitei of Sayon Gym, Mayang Imphal and Senjam Thoithoiba Meitei of Humanity Plus, Uripok finished second and third.
Kh Amir Hussain of Wild Gym, Minuthong and Laishram Okendro of MPSC-1st MR were placed fourth and fifth.
The 60 kg category title went to Arubam Anganba Meitei of Humanity Plus as P Nandajit of MPSC-1st Mr, Laishram Rohit of Friends Fitness Gym-Sagolband, KYS Mishap of Royal Gymnasium-Ukhrul and Thoudam Dingku of 2 More Gym and Fitness-Thoubal Leishang-them secured 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
Laishram Neta of United Gym-Naoremthong claimed the 65 kg category title finishing ahead of Khundrakpam Uttamkumar of Friends Fitness Gym (2nd), Haobam Ariya of United Gym (3rd), Jenchui Rongmei of MPSC-1st Mr (4th) and Oinam Robi of Humanity Plus (5th) .
In the 70 kg category, Thokchom Yaisana Meitei of Royal Gymnasium-Ningomthong emerged on top followed by Longjam Ellison Meitei of Mountain Gym, Yaikhom James of Sangai Gym- Khagempalli, Ksh Arunjit of MPSC and Khanrin Shaiza of Royal Gymnasium-Ukhrul in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places.
The 75 kg category title went to Athokpam Bisan Luwang of AMBBA as Thingujam Ritesh of Sangai Gym-Khagempalli and W Kiran of MPSC finished first runner up and second runner up respectively.
Laiphrakpam Bankim Chandra of Icon Gym and Yuvraj Sonar of Royal Gymnasium-Ukhrul were placed fourth and fifth respectively.
Leitanthem Dinesh in the meantime fetched the 80 kg category title finishing ahead of Khangembam Rishikanta of Friends Fitness Gym (2nd), Maibam Romen of The Legend Gym-Awang Sekmai (3rd), Wangkheimayum Sanjoy of Stay Fit Gym-Khangabok (4th) and RK Sanathoi of Sangai Gym (5th) .
Wangkheirakpam Priyoba-rta was crowned the 85 kg category winner as Santosh Ningthoujam of Lion's Gym Geal and Fitness, Kwakeithel, Keisham Jemson Meitei of Gold's Gym Imphal, Rajesh Soibam of Power Gym-Ukhrul and Goutam Laishram of Sangai Gym finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
Nivarshan Mainam of Sajel Culture, Thoubal topped the 90 kg category title as Loitongbam Philip Singh of Chumthang Sanapung-Langthabal and Yumnam Indrakumar finished second and third.
In the 90+ kg category, Maibam Robert of YVO Gym-Wabagai sealed the title as Pebam Medhajit of Lainingthou Pangamba Gym-Singjamei and L Sobachandra of MPSC secured the second and third places respectively.
Masters
Loushambam Ojitkumar Meitei of MPSC earned the 40-50 yrs category title as Rajesh Soibam of Power Gym-Yaiskul and Goutam Laishram of Sangai Gym finished second and third.
Heisnam Flood Mangang of X-Fitness Wangkhei meanwhile claimed the 50-60 yrs category title as well as the Masters' overall title.
Finishing second in the category was Nameirakpam Ojit of Lifestyle Fitness Gym-Sangaiprou while Loitongbam Heramani of Icon Gym-Keishampat finished third.
Laishram Modhu of X-Fitness was adjudged 60+ winner as Ngashepam Tiken of Master Athletic Gym-Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai and Chandam Indira of YBB Gym finished second and third.
Lousham Ojitkumar and Laishram Modhu were also adjudged Masters' overall second and third.
Physically Challenged
Oinam Arveenkumar of Super Gym-Khurai claimed the title of physically challenged category (open) as Naorem Jayanta of Royal Fitness Academy-Thoubal and Linthaongam Longmei of World Gym-Yaiskul finished second and third.
Women's bodybuilding
Thokchom Sanjeeta of Sangai Gym clinched the women's open bodybuilding title as RK Neha Devi of Lion's Gym Health and Fitness and Leishimi Raihing of Royal Gymnasium finished second and third respectively.
Men's Physique Open
Warshim Chesam of United Gym Manipur, Naoremthong emerged winner of the men's open sports physique competition as Fazarul Hussain Epham of Mountain Gym, Irungbam Prabitro Meetei of RCC-Khuman Lampak, Laishram Sanayai of LA Son's Gym-Chingmeirong and Khundrakpam Sachin Singh of Zoya Fitness-Chingmeirong secured 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th in order.
Women's Model Physique (Open)
Sayaolo A Shatsang of Royal Gymnasium-Ukhrul sealed the women model physique title as Thokchom Rishika of Muscle Factory-Kakching and Pemyami Zimik of Royal Gymnasium-Ukhrul secured second and third places. Chingri Khapai Shimrah of Royal Gymnasium-Ukhrul and Alli Yumnam of T-Fit Gym-Khurai finished fourth and fifth in the same competition.
As many as 186 athletes representing 62 gyms across the State participated in the bodybuilding and physique contest.
